A former private chef has filed a serious lawsuit against Kylie Jenner, bringing light to claims of a difficult and painful work environment. This legal action, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, is the third labor-related lawsuit brought against the reality star this year.
The chef, who has not been named, started working for Jenner around Thanksgiving 2024. According to court documents, she told her supervisors in December that she was three months pregnant. She asked for simple changes to her work routine to keep herself and her baby safe.
However, the lawsuit claims her requests were ignored. Instead, she says she was forced to work 11 to 12-hour shifts. On New Year’s Eve 2024, she alleges she was told to lift heavy food items and carry them uphill without any help. This physical strain reportedly left her dizzy and struggling to breathe, requiring help from security guards.
The situation allegedly turned tragic in February 2025 during a birthday party for one of Jenner’s children in Palm Springs. The chef says she was overwhelmed and physically exhausted, leading her to break down crying in a bathroom. The next morning, she claims she suffered a medical emergency and lost her unborn child.
Even more heartbreaking are the allegations about how she was treated after this loss. The lawsuit claims that when she told her supervisors what happened, she was told to "stop it" because she was making Kylie "sad". She was later accused of leaving the kitchen in a mess and lost her job.
Beyond these claims, the chef is suing for pregnancy discrimination, unpaid wages, and wrongful firing. She also argues that she was wrongly labeled as an independent contractor when she should have been treated as a regular employee.
Jenner has not spoken publicly about this lawsuit, and none of these claims have been proven in court. This news follows two other recent lawsuits from former housekeepers who also alleged a hostile and unfair work environment at Jenner's home.
With so many stories coming out about workplace conditions for those helping celebrities behind the scenes, do you think high-profile figures should be held more responsible for how their staff is treated? Please share this story to help others hear these voices.
