Ashton Kutcher Reveals He Once Suffered From A Rare Autoimmune Disorder

A rare autoimmune disorder left Ashton Kutcher unable to hear, see, or walk two years ago.

While appearing on National Geographic's "Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge," the actor spoke about his health battle.

"Like two years ago, I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis, that like knocked out my vision, it knocked out my hearing, it knocked out like all my equilibrium," Ashton shared in Access Hollywood's sneak peek.

After losing his senses, it took him almost a year to regain them, the star told Grylls.

He went on to say, "You don't really appreciate it, until it's gone. Until you go, 'I don't know if I’m ever going to be able to see again, I don't know if I'm ever going to be able to hear again, I don't know if I'm ever going to be able to walk again.'"

Ashton has never discussed the diagnosis before. According to him, he is "lucky to be alive."

The actor, who has two kids with his wife Mila Kunis, said his health challenges changed the way he viewed life.
