Being mom-shamed is unfortunately not a new concept, and Hoda Kotb, a television personality, has had her fair share of it.

In a recent episode of "TODAY with Hoda & Jenna," she recalled a time when she received a handwritten letter criticizing her for having children at her age. Despite the hurtful words, Hoda stands strong and continues to be an incredible mother to her two adopted daughters.

Hoda became a mother for the first time at the age of 52 when she adopted her daughter Haley, who is now 6 years old. In 2019, she adopted her second daughter, Hope. However, her decision to become a mother at an older age was met with criticism from some individuals.

The letter that Hoda received addressed to her home was particularly hurtful. It read, "How dare you bring a child into this world at your age? Don't you know what you're doing to that child?" Hoda was taken aback by the words and questioned whether her decision was smart or whether she was ultimately going to harm her children.

Despite the hurtful comments, Hoda remains a strong and loving mother to her daughters. She received an outpouring of support from fans online who praised her for being a great mom and reassured her that age is not relevant when it comes to creating a loving family.

The concept of mom-shaming is unfortunately not a new one. It is a form of criticism that mothers often receive, ranging from their parenting style to their age when they become a mother.

However, it is important to remember that being a great mother is not defined by age or any other external factor. What truly matters is the love and care that a mother provides for her children, and Hoda is an excellent example of that.
