In a revelation that adds another layer to the diva persona of Mariah Carey, the global music sensation admitted on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" that she hasn't held a driver's license for the past seven years.

During her appearance on the show, Mariah Carey disclosed her unconventional approach to transportation. "If there were one street that I could say, 'OK, this is a safe street for me to drive,' I would do that," she explained. "But the thing is, it's just better for me to go with somebody in the car and not drive."

Despite possessing the skill to drive, Carey let her license expire, and she hasn't bothered to renew it. "I don't have a license because I let it expire," she confessed. "I did have one, and then I left where I was living. I was living in the city, and you don't really want to drive in Manhattan. Well, I don't."

Mariah further detailed her license lapse, stating, "When I went to go be like, 'OK, my license.' They were like, 'Oh, well, it's expired and expired like seven years ago.' So then I was going to have to take the test again."

"The Jennifer Hudson Show" host joined in on the conversation, expressing her reluctance to retake the driving test. Mariah echoed, "That's what I'm saying!"

In an unexpected turn during the show, Carey shared another tidbit about her lifestyle. When asked about the most casual item in her closet, she revealed, "Probably some hideous slides that someone made me purchase, because I don't own sneakers. Because I get a blister on the back of my foot."

Defending her preference for heels, Mariah explained, "I've always walked on my toes. So it's kind of a thing." The singer's revelations continue to showcase the unique and glamorous aspects of her life, making headlines for more than just her chart-topping hits.
