In a poignant moment during his Hollywood Walk of Fame honor earlier this week, Hollywood actor Zac Efron took a moment to remember his late friend and co-star, Matthew Perry. The beloved Friends star passed away in late October 2023, leaving behind a legacy that touched the lives of many.

In an interview with Variety magazine, Zac Efron, who starred alongside Perry in the 2009 comedy movie "17 Again," expressed the profound impact of Perry's passing on him. The 36-year-old actor shared, "Matthew's passing is affecting me a lot. He was in a unique position for me in my career and my life."

Reflecting on the cherished moments they shared, Efron continued, "I hold the time we shared really dear. I’ve been thinking about him a lot, every day."

Addressing the inherent loneliness that often accompanies a life in the spotlight, Efron opened up about the isolation actors can experience. "Being an actor and being in the spotlight can definitely be isolating," he said.

In a piece of advice to his fellow actors, especially those new to the industry, Efron emphasized the importance of building a supportive inner circle. "It’s very important to reach out to friends and foster relationships where you can talk and share stories," he urged.

Expressing regret over not forging a closer bond with Perry during the late star's challenging times, Efron remarked, "Being a friend of Matthew, I should have bonded closely with him, especially when he was going through difficult times in his life."

As Hollywood mourns the loss of Matthew Perry, Zac Efron's heartfelt tribute serves as a reminder of the enduring connections forged in the world of entertainment and the significance of supporting one another through the highs and lows of life in the spotlight.
