Liam Payne recently opened up about his mental health and challenging experiences during his time in One Direction. The band, also comprising Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, has been on an indefinite break since 2016.

Liam, who auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and became part of the group, now reflects on not fully understanding the magnitude of what he signed up for at the time. In an interview with Colombia's W Radio, the 29-year-old singer candidly shared that despite facing difficult times, he remains grateful for his "great life" and career that began when he was just 14 years old.

While Liam acknowledges the longevity of his career as a stroke of luck, he also acknowledges that it has left emotional scars. Starting a career in the public eye requires addressing underlying issues, and he wouldn't change where he is now, having found his own sense of purpose.

Liam aspires to use his experiences to make a positive impact, particularly by helping others who may be facing similar challenges. He emphasizes the importance of having a supportive network during tough times and expresses gratitude for those who stood by him when he needed help the most.

Now on the other side of his struggles, Liam values the opportunity to share his story and hopes that it might resonate with others, potentially changing someone else's life for the better.
