Britney Spears had a big financial year in 2023, earning a whopping $40 million. This major boost came from several successful projects, including her best-selling memoir, "The Woman in Me," her duet with Elton John on "Hold Me Closer," her fragrance line, and royalties from her extensive music catalog.
"She has earned $40 million this year," a source told Us Weekly. "There is no issue with money."
Despite this financial success, some people close to Spears have expressed concerns about her spending habits. "Britney buys a lot of clothes online," another source said, adding that she often chooses affordable brands over designer ones.

Spears also spends lavishly on trips to exotic locations like Bora Bora and Hawaii, though she sometimes cancels these trips unexpectedly.
Since being freed from her 13-year conservatorship in 2021, there have been worries about her financial wellbeing.
"There was a plan in place when Britney’s conservatorship ended for her day-to-day life," a third source noted. "But no one followed it. The money is going out quickly."

However, another insider reassured fans that Spears' spending is not a major issue. "Yes, Britney spends on vacations and the clothes you see her in on Instagram, but that’s her prerogative. It’s her money," the source said.
